When you hear message in a bottle, I bet you think ocean. I know I do. After all, the most famous message in a bottle stories revolve around the sea… But every know and then, a truly incredible message in a bottle turns up on dry land.

Y’all, when I found this message in a bottle, I thought it was a hopeless case. The bottle was falling apart, and the writing was so faded I couldn’t see anything. I was bummed.

Well it was a long hard search, but we did it! We found “Donkeyman” James Robertson who sent a message in a bottle 46 years ago!
The story about James Robertson’s message broke in early January when Bernd Igwerks found the half-century old bottled note washed ashore on the small German island of Norderney.
